Lost pets barometer
Every quarter we set out how many pets were reported missing, found or seen in Belgium, where, and how many came back home. Each edition is frozen on the day it is published and never changes afterwards, so press, municipalities and researchers can safely refer to it.
The first edition appears once the current quarter has ended.
About the barometer
The barometer appears in the first week after each quarter and counts every listing posted on ikbenvermist.be in that quarter: missing, found and seen, per province, municipality and month, with the share of animals that came back home. These are listings on our platform, not all lost pets in Belgium.
Currently 10 municipalities refer to Ik ben vermist. Journalist? Every edition is also available as a PDF, and the press page offers logos, images and a fixed contact.
